Lint Center Scholarship Winner Published in Small Wars Journal

Chairman's Message: On behalf of the Lint Center for National Security Studies, I am extremely delighted to inform you that the Small Wars Journal published an essay by the 2010 Jim & Anna Hyonjoo Lint Scholarship Winner, Boris Kogan this past weekend.

Kogan’s essay entitled, “The Basmachi: Factors Behind the Rise and Fall of an Islamic Insurgency in Central Asia” is available for your review here and I encourage all to review the essay

Mr. Kogan is the first Lint Center Scholarship recipient to be published in the Small Wars Journal. Needless to say, the Lint Center and the Center’s mentoring team are extremely pleased.

The Lint Center, its team of volunteers, and its mentors wish to congratulate Mr. Kogan on a job well done!

I fled Communist North Korea as a Teenager and Developed Myself Fully In The Free World, by Dr. Jhong Sam Lee of Potomac, MD, USA.

Dr. J. S. Lee was the 2d cousin who lived in same house for about 10 years during the Korean War of Mrs. Jongja Byun from our Lee & Byun Scholarship. Mrs. Byun also escaped from the same city and went to Pusan on a US troop ship.
